The perfect (color) party necklace!
The guest of honor will be this necklace! I love how all the colors work together in this necklace. This gorgeous boulder opal doublet has blues, greens, yellows, oranges and reds. The blue zircons are the perfect understated complement to all those colors; it's amazing. The pearl adds a delicate feel that keeps everything in balance. Make sure you got to my on-line shop and take a look! Hope you enjoy! Nikki P.S. While you're there make sure you sign up for my email list. I'll let you know when new things are added!

My power jewelry combination.
The first time I put these earrings on I thought: "If I ever become a superhero, these are the earrings I'll wear!" And with the necklace on too?... I'd be unstoppable! That is one of the things jewelry does for us. It's a talisman not just for magical powers, but also helps us channel thoughts and feelings we want to exude. Like the feeling of being able to take on anything. Sometimes we need that in our lives. I know I do. If you're feeling like you need to channel a little superhero in your day go to my on-line...
Earrings for dog lovers?
Not really. Although I am a dog lover (and most other animals), these earrings aren't really specifically for dog lovers. The focal point of these earrings are called "Dog Tooth" amethysts. Why you might ask? The naturally occurring inclusions in this variety of amethyst often resemble dog teeth. These earrings in particular have a great purple color that I choose to put next to a really great orange. Why you might ask? Because I like unusual color groupings (Although, if I'm being honest, I just lover color!) and I loooooove purple and orange together! So if you need some color in...
Flowers and jewelry in the studio!
I love flowers. I won't deny it. I recently got some beautiful tulips and I couldn't resist taking some pictures of my jewelry with them like in this post and this post. I particularly like how the garnet in this necklace works with the colors of the purple tulip. I also think my stud earrings and ring go quite nicely for a jewelry set that isn't "matchy-matchy." Jewelry that makes the rainy days brighter
It's rainy and gray today. It's kind of funny, I spent quite a few years in central Texas where water restrictions were the norm. No watering your lawn unless it's your designated day or if it was bad enough, not at all. (When my son was little he thought grass was supposed to be crunchy!) No washing your car in the driveway, you had to go to a car wash so the water could be reclaimed. Texas is very beautiful but it was completely different than anywhere I had lived before. As with anything that is out of the norm, it changed...
