This is my favorite self-care thing.
I just really needed to look at some flowers this morning, so I thought I'd share this picture I took of my dogtooth amethyst earrings and my pearl and amethyst necklace from my Closed Hourglass Collection. Looking at flowers makes me happy and with all that is going on my little bit of self-care has been flowers in the house. I think it might be time to find some new flowers! Easy AND statement necklace? Yes!
Is it possible to have a necklace that is easy to wear AND be unique? Yes, yes, it is. Of course, I'm might be completely biased! These necklaces (one with garnet and one with blue zircon) are just great lengths that work with a lot of necklines and colors that go with so much. And to top it off, they are a striking design. Again, I might be completely biased! Talk to you soon, Nikki P.S. While you're in my on-line shop, don't forget to sign up for my email list! You'll be the first to know when new work...
Sometimes you just need simple.
So, I have a confession to make. I'm probably one of the few people on the planet right now not wearing sweats every day. Why? Well, I work from home so I'm still working everyday just like normal. The tasks and the workflows may have changed a bit, but the work still needs to get done. And I find that if I wear sweats all day, I want to lounge all day. What I wear influences my mind set. That doesn't mean I walk around in full jewelry and make-up, dressed to the nines. I keep it simple if I'm...
One of the most versatile gemstones!
Opals are incredibly hard to photograph. The reason? The play of color. "Play of color" is the gemological term used to describe all the different colors that an opal can show and how those colors change and move as the opal moves. It makes for a nightmare to photograph but means that you can wear them with so much! I've taken pictures of this opal necklace with my moonstone earrings, my Tahitian pearl ring and aquamarine ring & they all looked incredible! So I thought I would see how they look with a strong green like my chrysoprase earrings. Big...
Flowers and my new turquoise ring
Well, it's Friday and I've got another new piece to show you. And since I happen to have some flowers in my studio (my current self-care obsession), why not get some pictures with the flowers! This ring is my latest addition to the Bowl Collection. It's made in Argentium silver (so it won't tarnish) and the turquoise has an amazing two tone warm brown matrix that I don't see too often. The ring design is simple but makes a BIG impression! Talk to you soon, Nikki P.S. While you're in my on-line shop, make sure to sign up for my...
I have a pearl obsession--and I'm ok with that!
I know the first step in recovery is admitting you have a problem, but this is an obsession I DO NOT want to overcome! Kinda like my Diet Coke problem, but we won't get into that now. I have mentioned before how much I love these little gems (see this post and this post in case you missed them), but I just had to show you this picture. I've posted several pictures of this keshi pearl ring. In this shot you can actually see how the pearl is picking up on the colors of the tulips in the bowl. Pearls take...
