Octavia Butler and the upcoming bowl jewelry collection.

I got into a conversation the other day about "things you love to do."  I had the unpleasant realization that the things I "love to do" have taken a backseat (and I mean like third row back seat!) to the day to day life of running a business and raising two kids.

 Example:  I LOVE (!!!!!!) to read.  I'm not one of those intellectual-type readers that feast on high-brow tomes, no I'm a good ole fashioned fiction reader!  I enjoy many different genres, one of them being science fiction.  I am a bit of a nerd at heart and I own it!  (My current text notification is actually R2-D2.)

 One of my favorite books of all time is Octavia Butler's Parable of the Sower.  I have actually lost count of how many times I have read it.  Sadly, this is the last book I have read and I struggle to remember when I read it.  I'm fairly certain it was in this calendar year,  but exactly when....?  Oh well.

 There are other things I love as well that happily I get to do much more often.  Like design jewelry!  The rings pictured are part of my current "Research and Development" project for the tentatively titled Bowl Collection.  Add your name to my email list and I will let you know as soon as the collection is available!

 Here's hoping you can start incorporating more of the things you love into your daily routine!  I know I'm going to start making more of an effort!
